- 1860 - Strega is founded by Giuseppe Alberti
- 1894 - Giuseppe Alberti dies, leaving the distillery to his four sons
- 1900s - The brand invests in advertisings
- 1947 - The Premio Strega, or Strega Prize, is created by Guido Alberti
- 1998 - Strega gets into the confections business, with candies that feature Strega
- Today - The fifth generation of the Alberti family is still running the company
